Buy 2 in A's £3.00 will compare to T's £2.48 difference 52p back plus 10% no trigger needed. For those that don't smartie cones.
I keep saying this every time. For those outside of Northern Ireland. The Solero slightly cheaper (by a few pence) in M's until 19/5/13 (so buy Avs M). I'm assuming M haven't suddenly withdrawn that offer before its original expiry date (and to be fair this doesn't often happen) - I will find out tomorrow.0 -

Well where shall I start seeing you have both twisted my arm............
As you know I went for whoopsies earlier and I've not had any red meat for ages.
Last week there were 4 or 5 nice butcher's joints but I didn't have a pound for a trolley so by the time I had filled my basket and paid for the first round of reductions and gone back in they were gone.
Well this week I had my eye on the one and only nice bit, did the cruising around the aisles several times still there. Butcher was doing it in dribs and drabs. Lots of people looked at it but no one was tempted it needed to go down further.
Even after my little chat with Truffle we both went and looked at it admiringly.
Eventually it was gone from the shelf but where? I looked and could see the butcher was reducing it further. :j
I waited and he came walking over chatting to a lady, and put it back so I picked it up and this is where it gets embarrasing. The lady just looked at me in astonishment and said he had reduced it for her and he told her he could not give it to her but would put it on the shelf.
But I really wanted it and I was not going to give it up as had not had any for such a long time. And I had been there ages who was she to take the bit of meat I had my eye on.
I felt really bad but rules is rules and to be honest normally I would back down and have given it to her. I think anyone that knows me know I am usually the sharing kind. I felt really bad after and I'm still not sure I did the right thing keeping it.
Note to self that I must take a whistle and some yellow and red cards with me when I next go shopping in te3c0s just in case I bump into Tinyshoes and any reduced red meat!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:0 -
Just adding to the Value brand debate. I was looking at the Tesco Light Choices Cottage Cheese with onion & Chive at £1.25 and comparing it to the Value one which is just Cottage Cheese with Onion & Chive at 65p. Guess what? The contents and percentage of contents are identical!
I used to get the Oaktree Houmous in T's as it had less fat in than the ordinary Tesco Houmous. Probably made by the same company. I know some of the value ranges are different, but it does pay to look closely to check where you can.0 -

That did make me chuckle but not as much as your meat story the other evening! :rotfl:Well we thought our rhubarb pie tasted of rhubarb and apple!

How funny you should turn up mentioning that, I have just eaten a slice and can see why I have been banned from bringing them home. :rotfl:
You can tell everyone what a nice bit of meat it was now.

My second rant today so please excuse me as I can't express it anywhere else.
The "news" that oil companies have been fixing the price of fuel really gets my goat. For goodness sake, OPEC have a Cartel that largely controls what we pay for fuel. Some of these politicians seem to have a blind eye...have a go at the Cartels and not the british oil companies who pay valuable tax revenues into the excheqeur and also support pensions funds that many of us in public and private sector depend on.
