Back from my first wombling expedition :D
Got 7 receipts and 6 of them were junk or not 8 items (one had 9 lots of the same tuna on it!?!)
The 7th one says As is cheaper but not by 10% so I got a whopping total of 40p :rotfl:
Not to much of a wasted journey though as I managed to nip in Ws and grab the free twinnings tea bags from a few weeks back. Only had the liquorice ones but if they're free I'll try them :D

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say hi. Sorry I have been lurking again but my father passed away last Monday which hasn't really sunk in yet and I have my adoption panel tomorrow which I am really nervous about. Thanks to everybody on here for keeping me going I read the posts every night before heading to bed and most nights it helps me sleep, so thank you you have all helped more than you know. I am still very new to all this and don't really get how it works but I'm hoping I can really start to save some money in the future. I love seeing how you all support each other with various troubles and help each other out with money saving also.

I think the design of the paper mailout requires that they give you 3 vouchers each time so I doubt you would get 5x£5 and 1x£4.

How they determine the value of each of the three vouchers I don't know

On mine I get one voucher for Tesco bank and the other 2 are identical as they split the remainder of the points in half

Are these the same a 'homeplugs'?

My virgin Media wireless connection is not too good, we have to have it through a phone line.
It's mainly the 2 Xboxes keep disconnecting, and my sons find it so annoying!
Tried homeplugs, but not much difference.

Are you sure you have synced them properly ? They should work as tho you have a wired connection.

I bought 2 packs of 2 homeplugs and they all work great. They were £20 a pack from Currys.

Have you changed the settings on the xbox to wired connection ?

Sorry to hear your sad news. I guess if you have been reading I can say I really know how you feel with losing my mum couple of weeks ago.

And good luck with the adoption panel. :A

I can also recommend the clock idea... When my DD started to recognise numbers I bought her a digital clock for her room....I told her that when it got to 7:30 that was when it was morning...it did work and she doesn't come out of her room on a weekend until then unless she knows I'm already up with little man....she's older now and plays or reads usually until its "morning"...... Unfortunately little man isn't quite at that stage yet and seems to like waking at 6 ish...proceeded by shouting mummy..daddy...down stairs:rotfl:

we have a 'gro clock' for our 3 year old. We introduced it about a year ago and he loves it. We even take it on holiday it works so well. Basically it is a clock with a sun and moon on it. you programme it so at night it is blue with the moon and set the sun to come up when you like in the morning and it turns yellow. We thought it would never work but after a week or so he really understood it and now waits for the sun to come up in the morning!!

Just got a bit sad, had not been making those necessary phone calls to all the utility companies, makes it all seem so final. :(

Have now rung BT, to close mum's account, first tiny or maybe big step, letting go of hers (and my dad's) phone number.
