I wouldnt underestimate the speciality of insurers glaziers. One of the main glaziers used was responsible for manufacturing the glass for the Shard and another main contractor used practically invented a new technique to do the glass for the Gherkin.
Whilst there are many areas you can criticise them for, lack of specialist knowledge is rarely one of them.0 -
Hi all- after advice at last post I'm speaking to a loss assessor to take on my claim. I just want want to check- is it normal for these companies to settle claim and for the insurance money to be paid to them? They then take off their fee and pay the rest to me?

Make sure the fees they're charging are economical in relation to your claim.
Bear in mind they're very good salesmen and will make no guarantees as to what extra amounts they can claim back0
