A good offer but the 'Friends and Family' railcard is valid on more train companies than groupsave, for example Transpenine and Northern Rail. Also the railcard offers 1/3 off adult fares even at off peak prices.

It was a very cheap journey we were doing, I suppose. And most of my train journeys are just me and one child, so obviously the groupsave wouldn't work there.

My friend is looking into it for her family though, but they have 3 or 4 adults on most of their journeys.

According to the Daily Mail page containing the offer -

1/3 off adult fares and 60% off kids’ fares.

its a great saving, even if you only do one or 2 journeys per year, you make your money back (well, I do anyway - generally my trips are from Nottingham to London by train).

THANKYOU for putting this up OP, we've got a break in London in June so this is fab.

We've paid next to nothing for the hotel from another offer on this site.

    Thanks Martin, you rock. :money:

    Happy moneysaving all.

Why do you have to have a 2nd person named on it? I had to make someone up as I don't have any friends or family, oh dear!
