Just received a letter today apologising for the delays we had in Ibiza off over 7 hours in 2006 but they are only looking at claims within the last 2 years. If you have a claim of over 2 years ago then save yourself the postage.

Hi, This is not true, claims can go back 6 years.

If you read the FAQs and the Thomson thread you will see that they are incorrect and if your claim is for a flight less than 6 years ago you can progress through the courts....as your flight was more than 6 years ago, you are out of time0

I too have had a similar response from Thomson over a delayed flight from Cancun back in April 2007 ( 12th ) after writing to them March 27th 2013
They state that they are not dealing with claims greater than 2yrs
So which courts do I take them to - small claims or ???2.88kWp, Panels: 12 Sanyo 240HiTs, Inverter: SMA SB 3000hf

with the court?
Making my initial claim ....... in writing to the airline
Surely if it was based on actually getting to court - any defending party would simply just have to stall longer enough to get passed any time frame ??2.88kWp, Panels: 12 Sanyo 240HiTs, Inverter: SMA SB 3000hf

which is why people are advised, if the airline is stalling, to write to them and give them 14 days notice of court proceedings being raised and get it raised as it needs to be with the court within the 6 years (even if the case is not heard till after)
You will not be able to start court procedings now as the flight was over 6 years ago.0
