eclipse outage

Is anyone else a victim of this problem?? I've contacted eclipse and they are aware of the problem but appear unable to fix it.:p
My b/band is so slow that it won't even register on bbmax!! and at other times it whizzes along.:D
I've asked for my mac so I can go to another isp but it means ending the contract early and a penalty.
Any good ideas out there??;)

All ok for me. Still getting 6Mbps, and no lag or dropouts. My area (SW London) always seems to be ok, although my parents are having the odd problem. I was having problems about a year ago, but a threatening email and complaints got them to sort me out.

my folks have been having the same - aprox 30k download and 300k upload speeds (and yes I got that the right way round). Gonna leave and they can try the small claims court route if they want - but they aint providing the service that they said they would.

I was once with Eclipse and got out due to the irregular speeds, a regular trick they used to pull was limit your speed until you complain then tell you to run x amount of speed tests , in the meantime they would open up your line so the speed test results came back ok.

I made a complaint to Trading Standards as I was sold an up to 8 Mb unlimited service but Eclipse were throttling it down to less than 0.5 Mb when my line can handle 4Mb, TS said there was a case to answer and Eclipse were known to their Exeter colleagues.

Before I had a chance to give a statement to TS I gave up and got a MAC and migrated out , as soon as I had used my MAC I stopped the direct debit and told them what they could do with their 30 day notice period, I eventually had a reply from their complaints team who denied any limiting of my connection and the fault was my end but said they would credit my account with the fee for the 30 days notice and close my account.

I migrated to UKFSN and ever since then my broadband has worked fine on exactly the same set up that Eclipse claimed was the problem which proves the problem was with Eclipse even though they kept denying it.

When I migrate away from eclipse I will not be paying their penalty for early cancellation--I'm not paying for slow speeds any longer.
I got a free router with my deal so will I have to give it back.

I'm currently being charged for the notice period, they are charging me fot the whole of May, even though I requested my Mac on 17/4, so my notice period should end on 17/5. I have sent them an email and am awaiting their reponse. I should have told I was not paying after I was cut off on 1/5 to transfer to Orange. They slagged Orange off in an email to me but their speeds are higher than Eclipse and no lost connection so far.

I have rec an email from them telling me that my contract ended on 19/5 which is one month from when they gave me my MAC
