You get three discs:
1: Photoshop Elements 5.0
2: GoLive CS2
3: All the other applications (all of which which I think you can legitimately download for free anyway) being: WebEditor, Thunderbird, Firefox, Opera, Putty, OpenOffice, WinSCP, IrfanView, SmartFTP, Magix Photos On CD, and IE6.
The discs are just supplied in paper sleeves, with Strato's logo on the disc as well as the Adobe branding on GoLive and PSE 5. There's nothing on them about them being free, but they all have "Resale Not Permitted" printed on them. For reasons unknown, the GoLive disc also has a picture of the Photoshop Elements 5 box cover on the front, too. Just a mistake, I guess.
The PSE 5 serial number is 6 sets of 4 digits - no letters. i.e.
1234-1234-1234-1234-1234-12340 -

DOH DOH DOH
That means that I've lost it already - at least it is installed. JUst hoping that I haven't returned my free trial lovefilm dvd in it!!!
I was afraid of that as that is the format of the golive cd - which I havent lost - sadly it is the pse that I want - the only reason I signed up.
Just to reinforce - definately not boxed sets - just a disk - clearly labelled "NOT FOR RESALE"There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0 -
Would anyone who has done this be so kind as to tell me the format of the serial number for adobe photoshop elements - please don't write your actual number here!!!
After receiving my cd I installed it, but didn't put it straight back into the original case and now I'm not sure which case it came in.
My suspect case says
DP/N OKDO15 Made in Ireland
DS/N IE-aaaaaa-nnnnn-nnn-aaaa
where "a" are alpha numberic characters and "n" are numbers.
Can anyone confirm that I'm returning it to the correct case or otherwise please.
That looks like a Dell Part No, probably the sleeve you dell recovery disk, or additional software came in. Might be worth checkin any sleeves you have dell disks in.
My Photoshop sleeve says
Adove Photoshop Elements 5.0 on it and the serial no on hte back.0 -
Thanks gjchester - I think I've put a lovefilm disk into and sent it back - I've searched high and low and am feeling rather annoyed - that will teach me to not put it straight back into the sleave. At least it is still installed so I can use it.
Also for anyone interested in signing up. This is a thought (it might not be allowed on this website so if not, please would a moderator feel free to remove this post) or if others confirm or otherwise I'll remove this bit of the post. But:
As a member of Strato customers are allowed to refer others for cash. Normally quidco offer this direct but it isn't there at the moment - I'll email them shortly to recommend that they add the link.
In the meantime if anyone was definately planning on joining - then if you pm me then I'll happily send you an invite - in exchange for which I should get paid for the referal. Why do it. Once the money clears into my account I will pay you back 50% of the money. Which means that if you sign up to the enterprise section you will make about £3 profit on a years subscription (and I'll make some too).
As already stated if this is not allowed then I'll happily remove this offer. I have been a member for a long time and really appriciate the friendly environment. Still this would save people £10 but I'm not sure if it is allowed. There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0 -

Well worth a look for hosting.
Heart Internet offer free hosting, which again, If you just want a personal website, is extremely good:

£1 gets you the domain and the whole first year's hosting, with no additional charges. After that first year, packages start at £3.49 per month but you can cancel. Bear in mind that after the first year you pay for the whole following year in advance, not monthly.do you have to pay the postage for the shipping for the software
Yes, it's £3.99.what if you dont want it?
You can easily opt out of having it, and just pay the £1 for the domain & hosting.
Remember that you pay VAT at the German rate of 19%.0
