If you have no income then get looking for a job, whether its a temp job, as ong as its going to bring some money in.
Got any Mcdonalds or Kfc near by ? See if they have jobs going.
Situation will get worse if you dont do something about it.0 -
As I've said I'm looking for employment, I've applied for even cleaning jobs. I've also just finished 14 weeks unpaid work experience at a local charity shop to increase my employability chances. Everyone seems to think I'm one of these people who turns away every job...0

Running away from a mess you've created because you don't want to get into trouble is what children do. You are an adult now (I'm assuming early 20's) so you need to do the adult thing, which is clean up the mess. That means arranging a meeting with the bank armed with your own suggestions as to how this can be sorted out, which you can talk through with them. It will be a good learning experience!0

Yes I posted my reply before I saw reply #12 about applying for jobs and not having much luck.0 -
Just a thaught but.....
If paypal have yet to take the direct debits from your account why not cancel the direct debit from your bank account to prevent your account from getting hit with returned item fees.
Paypal may still try and use your card as backup funding but if the money isnt there the card will simply decline.
Its by no means the most ideal solution but its a way of stopping you incurring charges on your bank account and keeping the bank account in good order.
Youll ofcourse have to deal with paypal to resolve and pay off the negative ballance

Just tried this but when I tried to remove the Payment Method it said I can't because I have pending transactionsLooks like it'll have to go through putting my account severely over-drawn.

When you said you tried, did you try this in your paypal account or with your bank ?
You should be doing this with your bank either online if you have access to online banking or over the phone with them.
Like I said, its by no means the best option but you will end up oweing the money to someone but if it saves your bank account from ruin it may be the best option

Update: I've E-Mailed PayPal asking them if they would be willing to hold the payments for a few weeks until I'm in a position to hopefully pay it off, waiting for their response now. (Long shot I know).
I've applied to Barclays Online but was instantly turned down for some reason? Any ideas? I'll go into a Branch tomorrow to set up a basic current account.0 -

You need to get in touch with your bank ASAP and cancel your direct debit to Paypal. Either phone the bank or do it online if you have online banking.
As above - not a perfect solution but you're after some damage limitation here.0 -
