Can anyone tell me what to expect with dental IV sedation?

Thanks all
Had IV midazolam , but all I felt was a bit woozy and chilled like when you take a valium. I was really hoping IV sedation would mean I was 'out' for most of the proceedings. Not the case, I was very aware of what was going on, but maybe not so nervous. Anyway, RT had to be aborted due to the tooth being so infected and 'hot' it was too painful, and I objected just little....(hope the dentists balls are OK now)
so it was extracted - in a flash, didn't feel a thing.
The funny thing is, I have no memory whatsoever of all the other work he did, and I was in the chair for two hours.0
