access to emails on hotmail (outlook)

I am receiving the following message at least once a day when I login to hotmail (outlook).'We can't connect to Outlook at the moment. Please try again later.'

Can anyone explain why this is as I can't find out and it is most frustrating.

I would like to move my email account away from hotmail but this would entail notifying everyone of my contacts and also moving my saved folders and I am not happy about doing this.

Suggestions would be most welcome but please only helpful ones. Although fairly computer literate not very technical.

It is most likely down to your internet connection.

You're not using a shortcut on the desktop by any chance?

My mother had the same problem, Microsoft have changed the server address, once I updated the shortcut URL it worked fine.

There are some issues with outlook not loading etc. You could try changing your browser to see if that helps.

I think it is the first few problems they are encountering and will slowly work it out. It is a better service now and will only slowly improve.

Demystified: How do I do this:

I am not using a shortcut.

Carthicks: I changed my brower to Mozilla but have the same problem.

Meadows: I am trying this and the site is not even opening, so this obviously doesn't work for me.

I have been trying before I actually sent the post but am at my wits end when the providers keep changing for change sake. We don't all have the time to play their games and I can't find access to how to solve their problems so I can do my work.

Nevertheless I do appreciate the input as suggestions are always welcome.

If the link does not work for you have you tried just typing mail2web into Google to get access to the site?


Have you done the usual deleted cookies, temporary files etc.?


I take it you have normal internet access okay (no issues) and just your email that is not working?
