Has the inspection cover been left under the extension and no provision taken to correctly make sure it's actually accessible at all!

Yes we saw the certificate for the completion of the works when we signed the contracts. It would seem likely that the paving was done after the work was signed off.
Now, where can I hire a metal detector from?!0 -

Exactly, the patio would not have formed any part of the BC inspections, they would 99% likely have done it after the extension was signed off;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Not a terrace unfortunately, 3 detached properties (of which 2 are maisonnettes and 1 as a semi detatched) on their own plots - but will try never the less :beer:0 -
