keep hold of 08 numbers on O2, when you upgrade
Options
i've just managed to upgrade my contract on o2. because i use loads of 0870 and 0845 numbers to call overseas during my offpeak, i was using o2, but as i heard that they wouldn't include it when you get a new contract, i thought that i might just go to t-mobiles cheapest off peak tariff which is 3000 min for £15 for 24 months and compensate with phone cards.
i was originally on o2 leisure time 1000 min for £20, but when i called the old boy to terminate my contract, he offered to give me an old contract called leisure time plus of 2000 min for £15 for the first 12 months and £20 for the last 6. i told him that i am leaving as i need my 0800 numbers and he said that as this is an old contract that isn't advertised, thus 08 numbers are still in.
grabbed it, along with the nokia e65.
so will sell nokia e65 on ebay for average £200.00, so overall contract cost will be:
£15 x 12months = £180
£20 x 6months = £120
- ebay sale = £ 200
total for 18 months = £100 so effectively £6/month.
people who upgrade on o2, be firm with 08 numbers and don't settle for anything less than nokia e65, its the one selling highest on ebay.

Don't get too excited! Ring them up NOW and make SURE you really have got them! O2 are known to blag!
I got an upgrade last november - they guy said he'd put me on offpeak 400 but he didn't!!!! Cheeky git! I rang up to make sure (and obviously I hadn't been downgraded) and they topped up my account to refund me the difference.
This is CPW O2. But still it pays to be cautious!0 -
yeah, you're right. i made the guy send me an email so i have some proof of this if anyfink goes wrong!
cheers!0 -

I know it's kinda personal stuff but would you mind posting the email here? Without any of your personal details of course.
Just curious about the deal - was it O2 @ CPW or O2 Online?
Cheers.0 -

O2 CPW have these included because the number that you need to ring to check your minutes is 0870 number.
They might have changed that. But if you check O2 online for special number call rates says 20p for all calls.
But for old contracts (before April I think) they are included.0 -
I know for a FACT that these numbers are included on certain billing systems, how long for is the question.....0
