The prospective buyer is from Ireland i assume there shouldn't be any problems with this?

Northern Ireland are UK postal rates - Southern counts as overseas
My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Thanks is there much difference in shipping costs to Ireland?
It will be going first class recorded.0 -
I don't sell phones, so I'm not certain, but I believe that Royal Mail no longer pay out for lost or damaged phones.
Make sure you take a photo of the phone and the serial number etc. before you send it.0 -

Assuming you're sending to Eire, not Northern Ireland (where the rate is the same as the UK), a 500g parcel is either £6.88 (International Signed For Small Packet) or £7.58 (Airsure Small Packet) compared with £2.54 for Recorded First Class.

you could have a look on https://www.royalmail.com
I find them quite reliable when it comes to finding out postal charges.
They may even be able to tell you what their insurance will and won't pay out on if it gets lost or damaged...Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

If its eire, there's no 'recorded' service as its classed overseas. To get Paypal protection you'll need airsure or international signed for (both a good bit more expensive as Cazmanan Minx says). From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings
DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE!0 -
IT wont matter if it's more expensive, just find out how much it will be via royal mail site, and if the Irish bidder wins, then charge that much for postage. Explain to him first that he will have to pay international rates

You'll probably find they want it posted to a friend in the UK who'll bring it home for them.0

Yes thats another point. ONLY post to their address... otherwise you are not covered. It has to be to the address that is registered with their paypal, and make sure it is confirmedI
