Vodafone unlock codes
I had an iphone 4 with Vodafone, they gave me a free unlock code for it,I have now 'upgraded' to the horrible Blackberry z10,asked Vodafone for the unlock code, and they want £19.99,I always thought that if you were a pay monthly customer you got the unlock code free?Do you only get 1 free unlock code???....Cheers.

Pay monthly: there’s usually no charge.
Pay as you go: it’ll cost £19.99 if your phone’s under a year old, and you’ll need at least £19.99 of credit to pay for it. It’s normally free after that.0 -
Thanks grumbler, looked at the two links, but does not explain why they want to charge me!!!I filled in that form, they got back to me saying I had to pay!!! I had one unlock code ages ago for my iphone,so,do you only get 1 FREE unlock code??? Perhaps the vodafone rep could tell me?Kawasaki z750 Rider!0

Hi davmail,
Thanks for your time on the phone last week.
It's just a quick post to update the thread to confirm that we'll provide one free unlocking code per calender year to our Pay monthly customers.
Any additional codes will require a fee of £19.99 to be paid for each one.
Kind regards,
Lee

Hi is it possible to get the person you bought it off to contact Vodafone for you as they will possibly get it unlocked for free if they have been on pay monthly for over 12 months, if this option is not viable then the only other way currently to currently unlock iphones is to get the unlock code of a reputable seller of the unlock codes, these codes are the same codes that are provided by apple and are the full unlock type of codes (not jail broken which can lock your phone again when updating) they are currently around £30 on Vodafone, and are widely available on ebay

As I said it was bought from CEX so not an option to get the original owner to do it.
Anyway, went into the Vodafone shop with the receipt from CEX and they were happy to do it free0
