Need clarification/confirmation that TT contract is as requested, but have my worries

Here's hoping Mark form Talktalk will be able to put my mind at rest. After spending 57 min with TT yesterday, trying to reduce my monthly fee and setting up a new contract, a deal was achieved.
Later, having worked out my yearly expenditure compared with now, I wasm't much better off, even though I'd booked fibre optic.
I called back, only to discover they put me on TT Plus, at a monthly rate of £30 plus. When I had requested Plus, it was for phone and broadband and 24/7 calls, but they told me NO, Plus now includes TV which I didn't need. So this had to be changed on the grounds of mis-selling. Via a manager/supervisor (Scottish man), I think I have what I requested, but won't be able to rest until I see for myself via email or My Account that the details are as my request/instructions.
What with language,background noise,voice delay, it was a nightmare. Mark, I will gladly PM you any information if you can confirm for me please.

You are not the only one who has problems dealing with this excuse for a company!
Is it really worth the hassle?:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I don't think TT will be able to help you via these forums, ask them on their forums and a UK based oce will confirm what the deal was agreed.
@espresso
TT has ~4 million customers, the vast majority like myself are perfectly happy with the service we receive. On TT I get 18 meg speeds 24/7, download >500gb a month and all for a paltry £5 a month. Any issues have been satisfactorily dealt with via the forums.0 -
Define "vast majority" and have you asked each and every customer how they rate their service to justify that statement?
Just wondering if it's a guess, or not.0 -
Original poster here. For the most part, I too have been happy with talktalk having been with them since 2006. I have only lost connection for a fortnight once, that was due to BT Openreach and TT reimbursed me.
Yes, speeds could have been better and yes, speaking to an representative in England without time delays, background noise, accent would be ideal, but other than that, clarification of my new contract would be nice and reassuring. I am waiting via TT forums, but wondered if Mark, TT's rep on here might comment.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
