Dell / Mesh

Am looking at a new PC from either Dell or Mesh. Does anyone know if they have a set time that they update their website offers or is it just a case of pot luck.

Not quite a techie question, but didn't know where else to place.

Thanks in advance.

I'd definitely give Mesh a miss if I were you.

Hmm. Dell and Mesh are quite different. Mesh use fairly standards parts so maintenance, repairs and upgrades and cheap and easy out with the warrenty period.
Dell use a lot of custom parts which means they are great as long as you don't need a repair or upgrade.

Have you looked at Evesham at all? Very similar to Mesh but generally their tech support is rated better. I think Evesham update their offers about once a month.

In regards to Dell, just look on their website and see when the current offer expires As the next day they will have new offers on for which normally last a week or two,

With dell its abit hit and miss as its not always garunteed the offers will be better on the next rounds of offers. Sometimes they can worse for a month or so.

Currently the Dell offers are very very good to what they were offering a month or so ago.

I only know this because Ive been monitoring them for my brother who wants to get a pc in the next week or so.

https://www.dmxdimension.com tend to have all the best offers including some that you cannot get to directly on the dell website.

Mesh - avoid as the superscraper says.
Evesham - I would personally avoid. They are okay for customer services, but they are unwilling to absorb costs when they get it wrong. The got my laptop spec wrong but wanted to charge me for carriage. Furthermore, their website is useless for downloading drivers etc. For laptops you can't always go to the manufacturer (e.g. ATI) as they won't supply laptop graphics drivers - they tell you to get them from the laptop manufacturer.
Dell - whatever their problems, you can always get hold of drivers on their websites. So if you reinstall one 5 years later, its not a problem. Given the current pressure that Acer are putting on Dell, their offers are currently some of the best around.

Thanks everyone. Looks like a phonecall to Dell then.

    Cheers.
