3 Mobile!!!

I had a contract with 3 mobile which ended in 2008.

I went into my local 3 store and asked how to cancel my contract and was told "we can do this for you in store" so a phone call was made and i spoke to an advisor over the phone. I was then informed i was paid up to date and that the direct debit could be cancelled.

I was happy with this service but then in december 2009 i received default notice from 3 and was told if the amount of £201 wasn't paid in 10 working days a default would be placed on my credit file. So i paid the amount to avoid the default out of panic.

Now 4 1/2 years after "closing" this account i check my credit file and there's a settled default from 3 showing 12 late payments.

I've just checked the 3 website and it still states you can cancel over the phone

Is there anyway i can get this amended??

Thanks for any help you can suggest

I don't see what there is to ammend ?

What is it you want them to ammend ?
It's not just about the money

How can they amend what is correct? Your assumption is incorrect - your default changed from being owed to being settled - one of the poi RBS I usually make is lenders treat either as being bad news

There is no incentive to pay, because you will not be taken to court, and the payment record will not be removed until it becomes time barred.
