What do I need to buy with an oil tank?

Slightly complicated, we are having oil heating installed this summer. We have mate of my dads doing all the radiators and piping but we have to get and install the oil tank ourselves and then a third person will be coming to sign off the boiler etc.
I have been advised where the tank needs to go etc but im not sure if I need to buy anything with it eg valves etc?
For example if I bought this tank http://www.titanenv.com/ecosafe-vertical-bunded-oil-tanks-1300-litre-oil-tank
Would I need anything for it or just the standard pipes, boiler flu etc?
Thanks
Chris

if you look at the installation guide on that web page link
on the guide page 6 shows the gatevalve and filter (think that comes with it)
that gatevalve & filter fits into the tank
you then need the pipe from the tank to the boiler think its 10 mm,
stuff i got years ago was plastic covered copper pipe
with the boiler you should get a small flexible pipe that goes from the boiler to a connector block
now you need that connector block and a connector and olive to hold the plastic covered copper pipe into the conntor block
have you leveled the ground and built a conctere base on it
you will need to get a fire shut off valve (shuts the oil feed in case there is a fire
so you need
plastic covered copper pipe
pipe connector block
connector & olive0 -
Is the 'third person' OFTEC registered? If so, he can sign off the boiler AND the tank, both of which need Building Regulations certification.
If not, you will need to get the council (Building Control) to inspect and issue the certificate.
The OFTEC site has some useful advice on tank regulations.
http://www.oftec.co.uk/consumers/faqs-on-oil-storage-tanks
http://www.oftec.co.uk/consumers/faqs-on-oil-supply-pipes
What will the tank sit on? The regs specify size of concrete stand etc. No point getting your dad's mate to install it, then the OFTEC 'third person' comes to inspect and says the concete needs to be thicker! Or the tank needs locating elsewhere (away from the boundary or whatever).
Is that the biggest size tank you can fit? Or afford? Get the biggest you can to allow flexibility to top up when oil prices dip (as they are now doing!) rather than when the tank runs low (and prices may be peaking).0
