"has expired" why not download Avast for free or Avira or Microsoft Security Essentials ..... but the question is why let it expire first ?

the have two versions, free (for home use) which is fine, and free with extra's, which aren't needed, make sure you select the free version when installing, and don't install chrome.

Comparing them is a moving target, malware (viruses trojans etc) keep evolving and no product can keep up. However if you are vigilant then most products will help to keep you safe(relatively). Just make sure you think before clicking Yes , oh and if you are downloading software make sure the little boxes are cleared to say you don't want XXXXXX toolbar, or YYYYYY as your default browser or ZZZZZ and your search engine....

Before you install anything else, you need to remove Norton 360..

If you really want to continue with Norton then I suggest you buy a 2012 version cheap (under £10 must be achievable by now) and, once installed, download the 2013 upgrade from their site at no extra cost.

Don't you have a Norton account, you should have if your using a registered product.

You can access the site with www.myNortonAccount.com and then sign in with your user ID and password. You can then see what products you have bought, how many downloads you have left and more importantly, be offered the facility to renew for another year.

    I second "Microsoft Security Essentials"
Runs quietly in the background - Has kept my PC clean - And it's Free.

You might also consider using Ccleaner to give your PC a spruce up.

Uninstall norton and install Microsoft security essentials if you are on windows 7. Otherwise install avast.
