Getting myself sorted

Hello there HJ
Well done on getting rid of your OD :J I paid mine off at the end of last year, one of the first things that went when I realised I had to start getting rid of the debt! It too was the dreaded hanging-around-since-student-days OD!
I'd give the clothes selling a go but in my experience I just found it a bit of a hassle. I had much more success selling CDs, DVDs and gadgets etc that I just didn't use anymore. I have so many clothes that keep surviving the big "sort outs" I just need to throw them all away!!!
I hope your NSDs are going ok?!
Good luck and just keep plodding alongNest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Ok have decided to pull my head back out the sand where its been lingering for the last week...managed to have 3 NSD's but had 4 incredibly spendy days....
Need to get back on track, work out what i've actually spent (I did a lot of spending on the card, some of which I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER - naughty jude!)
Oh dear. And it was all going so well....the words 'fallen' and 'wagon' come to mind.
Hope you're all having a better time than me...xGetting myself back on track! Pay off debt and save deposit time!0 -
Just jump back on said wagon quick quick!!
We're allowed little slips ups now and again, we wouldn't be human if not! Get yourself a spending diary so the "oops I can't remember what I bought" isn't a valid excuse!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Haha debtfree... The problem was more the copious amounts of vino and card use on a night out. I have an app on my phone that normally records everything! Oh well!!
Still not doing too badly for me - a week till payday and I have more than £100 in my bank with no bills left to pay. Its weird feeling!Getting myself back on track! Pay off debt and save deposit time!0 -
Have applied for a Newcastle Building Society ISA. I'm wanting to pay a small amount into a regular saver for an emergency cushion and this seemed to be the best on offer according to this site.
Most of my spare cash is obviously paying of the credit card so the ISA will just be token payments until this is gone.Getting myself back on track! Pay off debt and save deposit time!0 -
So one week left till payday and where am I? Managed this month to 'overpay' the credit card by £100 and paid of the overdraft, yey! Really chuffed as I thought CC would have to be only a small overpayment this month, and actually I might yet be able to send a bit more over to it.
This is a miracle for me but with 7 days till payday I have £130 left. I cannot remember the last time this happened. Probably pre-uni.
I'm going to set myself the ambitious target of only spending £20 of this! I'll let you all know how it goes! Tempted to surrender the bank cards to mummy in order to keep myself in check!
Happy Friday everyone! xxGetting myself back on track! Pay off debt and save deposit time!0 -

That's debtfree! Yes it's so lovely seeing and feeling the progress. I'm hoping to pay off all debts by the end of September and I'm starting to get really excited by the prospect of saving! XGetting myself back on track! Pay off debt and save deposit time!0

By the way debtfree, my above post was supposed to say thanks, not that! silly predictive text!
so what have I done today....not much! have achieved a NSD, visited my nanny in hopsital and force fed her lunch (she needed it as she forgets to feed herself) and mowed the lawn.
All in all a pretty low key weekend off for me. Also managed to send an extra £20 across to the credit card, making the overpayment total for this month £120.
Happy Saturday all xGetting myself back on track! Pay off debt and save deposit time!0 -
Not much to report. Managed to meet my NSD target 2, so on 14 this month when my original target was 12.
Hair cut tomorrow so aiming for £27 spend only! Will also make sure I get my £10 back from my boss and then have a NSD Friday taking my total to 15!
Dreaming about saving for my holiday once I'm debt free! I haven't had a beach holiday for....well 10 years maybe? Hoping to be able to save for one to go in February! That's definitely giving me something to look forward too.
Happy Wednesday all xxGetting myself back on track! Pay off debt and save deposit time!0
