Tesco foreign currency exchange

Hi all,

I know you don't ordinarily get Clubcard points on Tesco foreign currency, but do you get Clubcard points on the Clubcard Credit Crard when you use this to pay for your currency, or is the 'offer' just saying that it is only free?

You don't say what the 'offer' is but I would say that even if the offer was to get points when using their credit card the transaction would be treated as a cash advance and you would incur interest charges straight away which would be in excess of any points benefit.

If you use your Tesco Credit Card to purchase travel money from Tesco there are NO fees/ charges of any kind. I have used Tesco in this way many times now and always used to pay for the currency as soon as it appeared on my account. But one month I was short of funds and left it to pay with the rest of my card balance on the due date, and found to my delight that it had NOT been treated as a cash advance and there was no interest charged!!
