Barclaycard Extended Warranty.

I am REALLY annoyed firstly with myself then with Barclaycard - I bought 2 laptops and a PDA on their card within the last few weeks thinking I would get extra warranty for free but when I went to register them they said no computer equpment was covered!

I sent an email of annoyance stating that their advertising on this was misleading and I could have purchased this equipment with another card and got alot more cashback however they just sent me a bland reply back.

Anya ideas anyone or should I just leave it at that....

I don't think there's much you can do. Computer equipment isn't included in the list I've got from BC; one of the reasons why I didn't use my BC to purchase my PC. Mind you the heading "Everything but the kitchen sink" above the small print in the warranty leaflet is somewhat misleading.

Some computer peripherals are covered - example is a Printer as I've registered one myself

Thanks for your replies guys - I guess I will leave it that - lesson learned and all that - but also a warning for others too...

I'm thinking of applying for my 1st credit card and was reading thread, the extra year's warranty sounds like a good deal, do any other banks offer this?

Also, do you have to pay any (annual?) fee for your barclaycard?

Lastly, do you have to bank with Barclaycard in order to apply for their CC?
