Personally, we have two good salaries coming into the household, and every year we look at our gas and electric bills and make sure we are getting the best deal (council tax and water cant do anything about apart from I suppose use less water and move to a smaller house:)).
That is why it is at 4.4%.
I cant think of anything else that could do to get the bills down further.0 -
Just moved in, but guessing around 9%.
(I pay my council tax over 12 months, not 10 as most seem to.)
Jx2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
im a 1 person household and mine is approx 10%Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0

16.5% for us. Two person household on one income.marlasinger0

9.5% of our take home pay.0

About 7% of my personal take home pay covers my share of council tax, gas, electricity and water. That's with two people in my household; if I lived alone it would be more like 12-13%.0

8% for me, but I have quite a large service charge and sinking fund to pay on top which brings it to 14%. I have a lodger to help reduce it.0

My gas and elec bills are seemingly quite low (£45/month), I'm not sure how myself! I have quite a small 2 bed flat but I limit the heating to a few hours a day when it's cold and love a good blanket to snuggle under and live in thermals in the winter!0 -
15% on just those four things.
88% on total outgoings to live and that's sticking to budgets. Wow! That's an eye opener as I hadn't looked at it like that before.0
