Anyone been to Mexico - tips appreciated

(this is going back to 2005, so not everything will be there/still happening) but when i went i stayed at the Carribean Princess and it wasn't upto much then, but it was cheap and cheerful and you could kayak on the lagoon. i'd suggest going to island majuras as you can drive a golf buggy around the area. In Cancun theres mini motorboats which you can jump off and snorkle (i think it included life jackets too). Xcaret and Xel Ha are amazing. I did the diving with dolphins too. Spent a fortune on that holiday but would do it all again
