Mobile Broadband - Pay Monthly or PAYG?

I don't have home broadband setup at my flat and wouldn't want to as its very expensive for me.
I have 4 devices in possession. MacBook Pro, IPhone, IPad, & IPod. I want to be able to connect to internet from those 4 devices but not essential.. (just a want not a need)
I already have mobile broadband PAYG dongle @ 3GB (but i need at least 3GB of data) monthly (and that is stretching me a bit as well) so paying for that each month costs me £15. but with only my laptop can go on internet.
Or..
Get a new deal (Pay monthly perhaps) on those new MIFI routers allowing multiple devices with £15-18 (a bit more) per month for at least 5GB.
Options. What options you guys recommend/suggests?

why not go for a normal landline service? there's some good, cheap deals around at the moment..
Talktalk for instance has 12 months at £3.25 on a 12 month contract, if you use their saver landline, where you pay 12 months line rental upfront for £114, the monthly cost works out as £12.75 a month for unlimited internet, evening and weekend calls etc
go through quidco or topcashback for a bit of cashback and you end up paying something silly like £10 a month0
