If price is the issue...I doubt two internal flights would be anything like £250, you should be able to get them for £50 each or less.

    Hi photome,

Think i worded it a bit wrong, sorry.

You're probably correct and i'm sure if i looked around i could easily get internal flights for much less than the £250. However i'm really keen to drive so we can see a bit more of the country etc so price is only an issue so to speak when comparing car hire companies.

Mind you, depending on the drive i might wish i'd just got an internal flight :D

Thanks as always for your posts.

    Cheers,

    Craig

Just booked for San Fran after watching for 4 months, so glad I waited got the flights for under £300 each with taxes! Half what I expected to pay!
Flying out of Manchester with 1 stop & direct straight back.
The best prices & site was American Airlines.
They don't fly from Glasgow but Manchester is not too far & Flybe are flying GLA-MAN for around £30.
I've been looking for a friend of mine who is going out in July & the prices from Glasgow are around £460.
Sometimes the prices go up so if you are happy that you have a good price I would go with it, 3 years ago I held out & it cost an extra £150 each!
As for the car hire it is BEST to book it all inclusive before you go, best prices are on-- everycarhire.com holidayautos.co.uk ebookers & opodo.

    Have a great time!!!!!!!

I had same problem last year trying to join the US Airways frequent flyer club. I gave up in the end.

I joined Deltas whom im flying with this time no problem.

    Hi there,

I got a nice email back from them today saying they are having a problem with UK addresses and are working on a solution but they're not sure when they will resolve it.

They said for me to send them my details and they'll register me at that side. So if anyone is having problems i'd suggest dropping them an email saying so and hopefully you'll get a nice 'send us your details' email like i did.

    Cheers,

    Craig

    hi again,

Just to say i got an email back from US Airways and they've very kindly registered me manually and i've been into confirm details and the likes. Well done US Airways :-)

Sadly by the time i did that the price of the flights had gone up to £880 for the both of us ..... but it's now booked :-)

Booked via Quidco-Opodo .... Glasgow to San Francisco then Las Vegas to Glasgow (both via Philidelphia). Flying with US Airways so hope to pick up a few miles for future use ( i read in the Las Vegas thread that once you've been ...... you just have to go back :-) ).

Thanks for the help, pointers and replies..... and good luck if you're looking for flights.

    Regards,

    Craig.
