ADSL faceplate

I bought an ADSL Faceplate from Clarity.IT 2 weeks ago.
Should be easy to install and was but although the phone worked the ADSL line didn't.

I tried installing it 3 times each time on a different day and each time the phone worked but the ADSL didn't.

I've sent two emails to Clarity through their Contact Us service but have yet to receive a reply.

Anyone else used Clarity. Are they a take the money and run type of online sales outfit????

Or does anyone have a tip or some advice as to what I might try next with the installation.

I tried a router and a modem on the ADSL faceplate neither of which could pick up a signal and both of which worked when I restored my line back with the old faceplate.
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

Sound like you have either wired it wrong or most probably it is faulty, send it back.

No wiring involved it's just a plug in.
i.e. take the existing face plate off plug in the new one and away you go.

I want to ensure I'm not sending it back if it works but can't get an answer from my emails to Clarity.

Which socket on the Clarity faceplate did you connect your router/modem to?

Yes, if you're ADSL router modem worked when plugged into your standard socket but not when plugged into the faceplate, it sounds fairly convincing that the faceplate is knacked.

    Not very likely.

Sorry espresso, I meant test the original socket via a known good microfilter, but I assume the OP would realise that.

Though the faceplate being u/s is not very likely, I don't have a better guess after trying the above; do you?

Is it not just a simple case of disconnecting the 'bell wire' from the master socket yourself?
