SAAS Payment Due Bank Holiday Monday

Options
Hi

I receive a monthly student nurse bursary from Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS). It is due on 6th of each month, which his year falls on Bank Holiday Monday.

Any other time that 6th has fallen on a weekend or bank holiday, the payment has gone in early. But just checked online banking and nothing showing.

Will try and get through to SAAS to check with them when payment scheduled, but they are a nightmare to get through to on phone.

Was just wondering if anyone had experience of SAAS payment on bank holiday? Does it normally go in early rather than late?

Or do you think that it might clear tmo (Sat)? I bank with Barclays.

If it doesn't go in today, it should be set to clear on Tuesday. With Barclays, Monday's transactions clear on a Saturday, but as it's a bank holiday it'll be Tuesday's transactions clearing on Saturday.
So yes, it should appear in your account by tomorrow.

Thank you so much for replying! Yes, I phoned Saas who said that they had sent the BACS on 27th April to be in on time for 6th. So called Barclays and the lady on the phone said that she could not guarantee anything, but that generally payments due on Mon would show on Fri night/Sat.

So fingers crossed. I have an exam to get to tmo, and my part time job have not had any hours to offer the last 3 weeks so this month has been tight to say the least. Don't really fancy a two hour walk to the exam if I can't afford the bus fare! I suppose this is a sign that I need to have a 'rainy day' pot even if it is only a small amount. lesson to be learned!

    thanks again for replying,
