i dont understand this either. my final award notice have been correct 2 years in a row. i do not have and have never had an overpayment. yes you earn 6000 and get 600 in child tax and probably working tax credit too.. yes we earn nearly 22k with 2 children and get child tax credit only at the rates i have mentioned. try their online calculator on the hmrc website and you will see that our entitlement is spot on. i dont see how this is even releated to fact that i am enquiring about the universal credit equivelent being different?0 -
I think the calculator will only be accurate for those claiming anew in the future and the 'better off in work' assurance only accounts for that scenario. For those transitioning there will be some leeway to accommodate losses and ensure protection (temporarily) for continuing claims.
But there is no guarantee those receiving X today will receive at least X in the future if they make a new claim.0
