Anyone else notice how Mrs Moneypenny looks so much like Elaine Paige from her "I Know Him So Well" days?!!! :D

I saw one recently which was if you feel tempted to spend to put your cards in water and in the freezer, meaning if you want to do some shopping online on a spur you cant as your card is frozen in a block of ice. It makes me wonder as i would have thought putting your card with the chip into water/ice would damage it.

I actually think that this is a good tip....unless you're one of them people who can memorise their details!

If you're only using the card online and not out and about, then it doesn't really matter if it damages the chip or not.

So glad my daughter and I aren't the only ones thinking SuperScrimpers are losing it!

Yesterday we watched an episode where they had to do a "party" for 5 on £25. What is the point of that? They invited the Grandparents round and made 3 small pizzas for nearly £9. They could have gone to Iceland and bought 9 family sized Pizzas for that.
I can do a party for all 12 people in our family for £25
They also taught 2 girls to make toys for kids for under a tenner.
A fishing game made with socks and 2 "squirrels" out of gloves. Yeah my niece and nephew would laugh me out of the city if I gave them those for their birthdays.

I think the home made pizzas was to show you can make your own pizza (and healthy too ) but 3 small ones for £9 is alot, obviously depends what you like on them.

Agree buying 3 family sized pizzas from iceland for the £9.

I had never watched this program before till the other week- when they made the children toys and the party for £25.

    I found it hilarious!

The toys looked silly and the boys were not pleased were they?

The party the Grandparents didn't take off their coats- also for £25 they might as well ordered a pizza take away!!!

I watch it sometimes, the one moment from it that always sticks out to me if from the Christmas episode. A woman showing you how to make a "glamorous" necklace for a special friend, your mum etc, out of bits of cereal box cut in to bow shapes and covered in coloured felt :rotfl:

The person who gets such gift will apparently love their new "statement necklace" :D

Lol, a friend made one for me as a present after we joked about it! As talented at craft as she is, you would never wear it!

op i completely agree...i stopped watching the programme in the last series when they had a family sorting a holiday house swap and as a casual comment they said you might invalidate your house insurance...how stupid i thought a weekend at the sea while someone burns your house down and u cant claim on your insurance

and dont get me started on that stupid necklase or the lovely sewing equipment they use such as fabric shears to make a cushion for 2 bob
    onwards and upwards

I need to watch this program!

3 small pizzas for £9? Were they using buffalo mozarella and pancetta? You can get 9 mini frozen ones from Asda for £1!

I'm still laughing at the Christmas episode where the Lady of the Manor advised getting a Christmas Tree and eating game off your own estate to save money.
