As they failed to pass on the cost cutting in full that their rival Asda recently did, it's not surprising they have to reduce their price in order to compete.0

Good news. Now I might get to wince just a little bit less when I am standing at the pump watching those £££s roll up and up.
Yes, let's hope the rest of the big boys follow suit...0 -
Even better news, Asda have announced a further price cut, so maintaining the price differential.
Asda cuts unleaded by up to 2ppl and diesel by up to 1ppl
New national price cap 129.7 ppl for unleaded and 134.7 ppl for diesel
(effective from Friday 3rd May)

Yawn....

Tesco will probably be the last one to drop their price.
At fuel stations where they've [STRIKE]hidden[/STRIKE] repositioned their fuel price sign the price may not drop at all.0 -
Hang on a minute...........i'm just putting that massive £1 a month i'm saving into my gas/electric piggy bank !!!
Prices should be reading about £1/litre , then i'll cheer (a bit)0 -
50 litre tank 1p cut 50p saving um that can go towards my council tax rise.0

Fair play to the supermarkets starting the petrol price war, they shouldn't have to be the ones who do it considering they just buy it off the big boys anyway.
The actual cost of fuel is very cheap, for what they have to do to get it.. the tax is the real con and unfortunately I can't see that going anywhere anytime soon.
At least it's going in the right direction though!0 -
And I just filled up yesterday. Oh well I'll mourn that 70p loss!0

Pleased though, Fuel has dropped around 8ppl in the past few months so saves around £4 a tank. But the biggest difference is the hgv's that transport our goods now that has got to be a huge saving for hauliers which is great news.0
