A pay as you go broadband dongle (a mobile wifi if you are using a tablet) would the cheapest and safest be. If you don't mine me asking, what do you plan to do on the internet when you go away.
Also best to check which network can get the best signal while you are there.0 -
ebay...but my 9 year old wants it the most for his minecraft and he has promised to skype his cousin in Canada as it will be his birthday.0

If you have a suitable mobile telephone, you might be able to 'tether' it to the laptop. Otherwise you may have to spend up to £20 just to get on the Internet for three days.0

You would be better of getting a mifi device. You would get more data than mobile plan normally.0 -

But you would get more data (expect for the one plan), and I was talking about a pay as you go mifi device (I very much you would get the data for minecraft from tethering via a mobile). Also mifi would more handier for connecting to tablets.0 -

Why would you write that you get more data with a PAYG MiFi, in response to me writing about a USB modem?
You get exactly the same amount of data with a PAYG USB modem.
Notwithstanding, if the OP can find one of these, it is a useful thing to have.0 -

My apologies, I thought you meant a pay as you go phone sim.0 -

In relation to my thread almost about the same subject.
What are the data allowances for T.Mob ?0 -
The OP hasn't stated if he's trying to access the Internet on his laptop or simply on his smartphone (if he has one).
Should be made clear that modern smart phones will give you 2 options - wifi or mobile data.
WiFi can be used for free at McDonalds and others, as you say, mobile data may already be included in your contract and 3 days use will likely be included in that contract.0
