faulty tablet brush - off

I saw that, but given tablets have sleep functions it doesnt quite make sense. What is the reason the manufacturer is giving for not wanting to resolve the problem?0

The tablet does sleep but I can't constantly keep it on, the battery is used and I have to us the charger to wake it up and it will over heat. The insurence won't pay because it is a manufacturing fault and it is up to the manufacturer. I have emailed the company CONSTANTLY and I have beeb ignored. A phone number is nowhere to be found, the insurers nor hmv have one which seems rather dodgy. Hmv won't authorise a refund and thry won't have it repaired.0

Thats because the HMV you are talking to today is not the same HMV that you bought from. Therefore give up trying there.
Is the tablet overheating or are you speculating? What exactly are you saying to the manufacturer? Constantly emailing is not going to help you, nor is a coulda would shoulda approach.
The contact form says its not for technical queries, but the forum should be used.
Have you submitted your problem on there?

Telephone numbers do appear to be a bit hard to come by, but it appears that Yarvik is a subsidiary of Sweex, which in turn is a member of the Al Otaiba Group of Companies based in Dubai, who have a phone number on this page http://alotaiba.ae/contact-us/. Although I suspect either visidgi's suggestion or using Yarvik's Facebook page may be more successful options.

Is HMV really different? The OP thinks the new owners took on assets and liabilities. The owners certainly seem to have bought more than just the name of the brand, they appear to have bought most of the company.
Maybe someone with more expertise could advise whether HMV do have any liability in this case.0 -

As per http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/shopping/2013/04/hmv-saved-where-do-customers-stand
Anything over 14 days is manufacturer supported only.
The OP hasn't said they have completed the forum request, this is what the site says you have to do so its no surprise the OP isn't getting a reply to emails.0
