faulty tablet brush - off

I bought a tablet and two years cover 13 dec 2012 . On off button now stuck and device cannot be turned off. Retailer now changed ownership no longer stocks this item, their customer service team refused to release code to enable refund, . They referered me to the insurance co who said that the fault is breakdown and noti covered,.they said the manufacturer is responsible for this for the first year. The manufacturer can only be contacted by email. I explained my problem the reply made no sense, I have emailed several times since politely but it seems I am being ignored. I am 165.98 pounds out of pocket with a device who's battery will eventually die . Please what do I do now?

Where does the brush come into it? ;)

You say the retailer has now changed ownership - has the new owner taken over the old liabilities?

Have you contacted the manufacturer? In these cases, even though the contract is with the retailer, where a repair is required it does eventually end up going back to the manufacturer.

if you have a receipt you get a 2yr warranty so go thru yarvik you didn't need to buy extra cover but its too late for that now :( , they wont refund but should repair or replace
