flight compensation with Monarch

I recently tried to claim compensation from Monarch following a delay of 3hrs 55mins. They have now replied that due to the aircraft getting a hydraulic leak and engineers struggling to effect a repair they are unable to entertain the claim. This despite other Monarch flights were allowed to leave on time but not the ZB492 Bhx to Alicante. NOT a happy bunny. Is it worth pursuing further i ask myself

try reading the Monarch thread - there is a long list of flights and excuses in the first post and you will see what steps people are having to take - normally court0
