Why do you have to declare anything?
All that law following can be a chore can't it?
I'm assuming your insistence on not paying the correct import duties are just a joke given the amount of stuff you claim to be purchasing from China.

If you buy something and someone ships it to you, why would you get involved in the paperwork?

The seller I am in dispute with was quite pleasant at first, but they kept extending the time for delivery and the system finally warned me I only had 4 days to escalate the dispute otherwise acceptance elf the goods would be presumed and my money released to the seller. At that point the seller started to,ignore me

I opened the dispute and have heard nothing from anyone at all since. I have no doubt the item was sent , it just has been lost or very badly delayed en route.

Like you though I was used to getting my stuff in 2- 3 weeks or so, then suddenly earlier this year that started to slip towards the 5- 6 weeks buti had also heard that their customs were delaying outward items.

If they've mislead you and messed you around, I'd go for bad feedback, that does seem to lead to results, but alipay should refund you, I got mine back, I assume, straight away, it was on this months statement as a credit.

I think what you are refering to is tax affairs. If you buy a bag of widgets under 15 quid from China and then think you can base a whole business model on it, it's probably a good idea to check what you need to declare to HMRC as your business grows or face a huge show-stopper.

I'm inclined to agree but if you're imported goods avoid tax by the seller lying about the value (as many Far East sellers do) then you could be seen as deliberately tax avoiding.

Anything i buy to be used as part of my own or my shared businesses is declared properly. As ti stands these items are part of a shared business and are expenses, parts used to do something else in the course of a business.

My stuff is so cheap I have no need to lie about the value.

There are plenty of things that have a low rate or no duty to pay at all see:

You still have to pay the vat though, but if you're a big shot importer you can get that back.

Yes , only spend what you can afford to lose. The escrow system does not work at present, I still have not received any money back for my lost items.

OK yeah, I am only spending a little amount, lets hope that my luck is in and that I get my items. I know that items from China are taking a while at the moment though.
