Gas meter reset to zero?

Hi Malc, thank you for your advice. I will call E.ON and make sure the visit is definitely to 'check meter details.' I am hoping that once they have confirmed this the process will be straightforward. Do you know why the serial numbers have changed if the meter is the same?

As the meter hasn't been physically changed, the serial number on there will be the same. The problem will be with the details recorded on your account.

I suspect there's a mismatch between what we have and what we should have. This is why it's important to verify exactly which meter is at your property.

Once we've done this, we can move to the next stage and make sure the account is updated correctly and billed accurately.
