The lady did phone back when she said she would - she offered me a complete choice of mags to choose from... so not only have I got my two free ones... but I now have 3 copies of Marie Claire for £1 on the way to me!...0

I rang up the other day to see if i could cancel, but i cant till i have recieved a confirmation letter which i totally understand.
Anyone had experience of this type of thing? Is it easy to cancel? Do they only charge you the £1 if you cancel etc etc0 -
Why do they need your bank details rather than a cc? Is it an actual subscription they are setting up? Is it one of those awkward things that can't be cancelled (Not a dd but can't remember what they're called)?
It's a direct debit that you'll be signing up to and a subscription at full price adter the three months.
DD's you can cancel yourself but you should also notify the company.
Coninous card authority (CCA) is the one that works with credit cards and you CANNOT cancel this yourself and cancelling the credit card won't work. There should be steered clear of because it's just amazing how many cancellation letters go missing in the post.
If the only way to apy is CCA then my advice is go elsewhere.0 -

Yes, but you should be able to cancel.
You should cancel your DD at the bank AND with the magazine company.
Ideally you'd do this after you've ahd your 3 copies for a £1.
However beware that they do take notes and will not "abuse".
"Abuse" from there point of view is people taking advanatge of lots of free offers and never subscribing properly.
If you do this a lot you might get a nasty letter and be banned from future offers.0 -
Has anyone recieved there's yet? I'm really worrying now, i cant afford more bills coming out. I'm gonna cancel as soon as i receive the 1st issue lol.0

I had a horrible, horrible aggressive man trying to push me into signing up for a subscription. I said I didn't want it, just the free sample of Ideal Home to see if I like it, and he was awful. Wouldn't take no for an answer, I considered hanging up. Beware!0

Has anyone received there free copy yet ? I called up on the 20th May and nothing received yet.
