Wages paid into frozen business bank account. Help please

The account hasn't been closen, its just frozen. Would the payment be returned to the originator if its a frozen bank account as this would solve the problem altogether

It should yes. However I don't see it solving the problem at all - if the company has been wound up then there is nothing to pay as far as I am concerned unless there is an administrator liquidator looking after things.
If I was invoiced by company A and Company B wanted payment I would tell them to get stuffed.

That should be it for the old company, my accountant advised me the easiest and cheapest thing to do would be to set up a new ltd company (which she did for me) so as far as im aware i shouldnt need to pay anything on the old company apart from taxes.

I see what you are saying, payment should'nt be an issue as I work all year round for them and they pay once a month into the business bank account. I was on the phone earlier to get them to get them to pay into the new account but they had already put it through into the old occount to be in there by tomorrow. So if the money does get returned I should only need to give them the new bank details.

The company only had an obligation to pay the previous company. It would surely be for the liquidator/administrator to receive any funds due to the previous company? I assume if your employer paid the new company they could still be pursued by whoever winds up the old company.

If the ltd company is dissolved, as you said it is, how was the ltd company going to pay those taxes?

As it was my company I would happily pay them them taxes, that would still be possible even through they've struck me off the register?

I know they only had an obligation to pay the previous company but if they've said their pay the new company if the monies returned by the bank then this shouldn't be a probelm.

I dont know anything about a liquidator but if the companys been struck off the register, dissolved by companies house and im the director then I thought that was it (all wound up) unless I choose to restore the company.

You must remember, you are not the same entity as the company.

The old Company was trading however. Just never filed accounts. Presumably owes tax and national insurance to the HMRC. So any monies owed by customers will offset any debts due.
