Present for a new big sister

Options
Hi, I'm looking for some suggestions please :)

My friend lives in Belgium and her second child is due in about 2 weeks time. I will be sending her a new baby gift, and wanted to include a present for her daughter who is 2 and a half. Can anybody suggest something that maybe their own lo was given as a new big sister, or other ideas. I was thinking maybe a soft doll with clothes, or a lovely story book. It's a while since I bought for little girls, as my own is now 18! It needs to be posted easily.

TIA xx

    I've been Money Tipped!
Depends how much you want to spend.
Something like a lovely story book will be lovely, but remember Mum and Dad will have less time to spend with her, so I don't know if story time will be fitted in so easily.
In my experience, a toddler will love a sticker book. Something they can use unsupervised, but in the room whilst Mum is feeding is a good idea, and normallly an instant hit.
Doll would be nice as she can mimic Mum and Dad with their new baby.x

Duplo used to do a small family pack including a baby. I dont know if they do it still but duplo is so versatile and light to send x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

When my friend had her 2nd, I sent her 3yr old daughter a 'Congratulations on your baby sister' card, and wrote her a message about her being the big sister. She loved it, took it to bed with her for days and insisted on showing everybody. Just making the point that it doesn't matter so much WHAT she gets as the fact you're making her feel special for her new role :)

Thank you all for taking the time to reply :) A sticker book is a good idea. My daughter was obsessed with stickers when she was tiny, especially the little ones you used to get in blank cassettes! x

My daughter was given this http://shop.bigjigstoys.co.uk/p/mrs-bear when her baby brother arrived (she's 2) and it was a big hit - ideal too because it doesn't demand too much adult input, but we can sit together and chat about it.
