Another UU E45 Nourish and Restore from the Bzz trial. WBA leaves my skin feeling so soft and lasts ages.:money:Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
Hi Ladies,
Hope you've all had a good weekend. I've a few items to declare:
UU - Lush Happy Hippy Shower Gel - Must admit I was expecting to hate this as anything grapefruit fragranced generally smells, well sweaty to me!! For want of a better description!!! I was so pleasantly surprised with this, it was really fresh and citrussy and really lovely to use. WBA.
Other UU is a big bottle of Tresemme Freeze Hold hairspray which is my HG - does what it says on the tin! I have got a travel sized one but I want to keep that for weekends away etc so will be replacing this size shortly.
Now for the IN:
Elemis Revitalise Me Hand Lotion and Elemis Skin Nourishing Shower Cream with the GWP so another five items also as per posted before, the set really is lovely so I'm please with that. Already decided I don't like the smell of the hand cream though, it seems a bit too masculine to me so I've popped that straight onto Ebay while its free listing, along with a Dior lip gloss and a much loved but too small Coast dress.
OH and I don't seem to be getting on at the moment, not arguing as such he just seems really distantI'm trying just to get on with things as I think if I try and probe too much I'm just going to make it worse, he's not much of a talker.... Will try not to let my uneasiness translate into either mega purchases or stuffing my face!!! Instead going to aim to channel nervous energy in the gym

Been reading and lurking.
Finally tossed out a few things that had been bothering me.
two eyeshadows from an EL palette. The green and purple just looked dingy, so out they went.
One Rimmel double ended eyeliner pencil. The stuff kept breaking and it was nearly done in the colour I liked best.
One Yves Rocher double ended eyeliner pencil. Never really liked either colour, so bye bye.
One Maybelline loose mineral blush. Too messy. Liked the colour but not the hassle and spillage. It was $2 so no big investment.
UU:
Balea 4in1 makeup remover wipes - 56 down, gawd knows there are more in the stash.
Ojon Moisturizing Shampoo 50ml. Gave me body, got the matching conditioner to finish. I like it but it's more than I'm willing to spend by the time you pay the shipping charges.
Perlier Grapefruit Shower Gel 200 ml. Not long lasting scent wise. But it washed me, better value for money out there.
I really need to stop saving things, to see if time will change my opinion of the product. I also promise never to buy a double ended eyeliner pencil/kohl again due to wastage.
The Kidney Stones are there. Spend Friday in agony and wound up in emergency for pain relief. When they found out I'd driven in myself and would be driving home, they held all the really good stuff because I'd be deemed impaired to drive. But I did get to see my little rocks. Not a happy event.
Oh, and I also found out the husband has decided to put a new roof on our house. I'm not happy, the bill will be huge.
And to continue along the lines of agony and expense, we are going to Spain for a month in the New Year. Together. My idea of hell.0 -
Massive hugs Wondercollie. I have had a kidney infection that they suspected was stones, chiefly due to the level of pain. Give me the advanced stages of labour everytime, at least you get a break from the contractions. I hope they have some effective suggestions for the rocks.
Edit. I wish I had some suggestions for the husband. Could you suggest he makes the roof cheaper by doing it himself? Pref. in an icy December so he has a chance of sliding off (Oops, did I type that?).
Well, a broken leg would mean a cancelled holiday....Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Winter here starts in October and ended about ten days ago. So he'd better get going if he wants the roof done. I'm thinking it's going to run around 12KCdn$. He thinks about $4K. He's being too optimistic. We had a roof done in another house back in '96 and it cost $3900. So he's being totally hopeful.
The trip to Spain is an anniversary/retirement holiday. He's retired next March but for the amount of leave he's got to use up he will be home from about mid-November.
The ER doc figures bits are chipping off the stones and that's what's causing the pains. I see the urologist at the end of the month. I'm hoping he'll just do the lithotripsy fairly fast. Because at least you know labour pains will end and the bands of pain across the abdomen just go on and on. I had left the house for work and got about three blocks from home and it just hit, tears rolling down my face. I went home to change because there was no way I was going to my hospital's ER in uniform.0 -
Huge virtual hugs to those with OH problems. I couldn't resist a giggle at And's suggestion:rotfl:
Painted my nails on Wednesday with Leighton Denny Supermauva, then on Friday topped it with China Glaze Prism, it has looked so pretty, but needs to come off now:( Must make some time somehow today.
Yesterday was so tempted by the Elemis TSV on Q**, at 23:00 hours last night I resorted to trawling through my stash to see what I really had and to divert me - it worked:j:j. There is an Elemis anniversary show 2 days before my birthday in June, so may just decide that I am worth it. So far I have told OH that when he is fully fit with two working arms, I am going to spend the whole day in bed!!!!, think he should really pay for me to have a Spa day, but cannot see that happening:rotfl::rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Meant to say, sorry about the stones Wondercollie, I hope that you get treatment very soon. I have been told how painful they can be.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

Morning all.
Wondercollie - poor you, the stones sound dreadful.
Hugs to people with men problems.
I have a uu
Ellie Saab perfume sample - I don't think I would buy as it wasn't anything special, I seem to stick with a few favourites on rotation, and a couple of cheapies for during the day but I would like to try Chloe - the one in the lovely vintage style bottle.
Based on how many people have taken up the Elemis GWP offer just on here you can see why these companies do these things so regularly they must do very well out of it.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Just had a big sort through all of my make up and nail polish. I have 24 Nail Polishes to sell/give away and one to throw away.
I also have 12 Make Up items to give away.
TA
No7 Red Nail Polish - I can't really remember wearing this but it was a bright red and it had separated and gone all gunky! WNBA
Make Up GA Items
WNBA obviously.
Stila Angel Light Powder - Accidently picked up a shade that was way too dark, no idea while I've kept it for so long especially when it was a poundland bargain!
MUA Lipsticks in Shades 11 and 15 - Colours just didn't suit me. Like MUA lipticks in other colours though.
Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Red Dynamite - I have a red lip liner by No7 which is much nicer and I only need one red lip liner right?
Drumstick Lolly Lip Balm - I'm just going to throw this away, was pretty rubbish anyway.
MUA Bronzer in Shade 3 - Way too dark for me and shimmery.
Vivo Baked Shimmer Palette in Chocolate Box - Very shimmery and not very pretty colours.
Barry M Lip Lacquer Crayon in Shade 4 - I love this but it just doesn't suit me, I have another one of these lip crayons in a red colour that I like.
Gosh Glitter Eyeliner in 18 - Such a fail of a product, about 4 glitter particles per swipe of eyeliner.
Benefit Gilded Pencil - Wasn't impressed by this and never worked out a good way to use it.
MUA Immaculate Collection - Giving this to OH's mum as she's loving MUA's eyeshadows.
MUA Dusk Til Dawn Palette - Also giving to OH's mum.September Grocery Challenge £0/£2250
