    Hellooooo!

I just put spf30 on, went out into the garden to get the washing in and I feel like I burnt through it in 10 minutes! Probably not but my skin is sooooo hot I've had to come in to cool down!

BTW for those of you who use Dentyl mouthwash, it's still 2 for £4.50 at Tesco, some of the bottles are £4 each so a real saving! :D

I have tried Clarins Brightening toner Sensitive and Alpha-H Liquid Gold. For the first couple of weeks I used them on very slightly damp cotton wool, to make sure they were not too strong for me, then graduated to swiping over problem areas neat. I do not let either, or any scrubs touch the very sensitive areas of my face. The resident beauty guru on QV* suggested that people with dry skin use the Alpha H no more often than every other day, and to cleanse and use it early evening and then apply night products before bed, In both cases I bought try me sizes before investing a lot of dosh on full sizes.

For my older, dry skin I use Hydraluron, just a tiny amount after hydrating toner, before serum and moisturiser, SPF etc. It really pushes the hydration in and leaves my skin plump and dewy. I am pretty high maintenance on skincare, but I have been blessed to have good skin all my life, but as the hormone levels dropped have had to spend more. I cut back in other areas in order to be able to do this.

Fiasco 55, best holiday wishes from me too.

Thanks Maddie for reminding me about Hydraluron :D It is something I wanted to try but completely forgot about.

Do you know if it is always £24.99 or is it sometimes on any type of offer? & Have you tried any of the other products in the range?

&& Your routine sounds interesting! Do you cleanse, tone, hydraluron, serum, moisturise then separate SPF?

I really need to up my skincare routine... I think I'm being a bit neglectful and lazy (I sometimes don't do the night routine). I use a hot cloth cleanser (Liz Earle or Chanel Sublimage), then something moisturising (previously the Liz Earle toner, now an Estee Lauder Genefique Serum that I've just finished and won't repurchase), and a moisturiser (currently finishing off a tube of Embryolisse which is nice enough but without SPF) & finish with an eye cream.
I might have to up this to cleanse, liz earle toner, try hydraluron, moisturiser with SPF & eye cream & possibly a neck cream (!) I know alot of people who vouch for a separate SPF, but I'm not sure I can commit to it as the ones I've tried make my skin feel a little trapped esp when I then put makeup on top!

I tried Nanoblur, but couldn't really see any difference on me.

I have not found any offers for Hydraluron, but will keep an eye open for Boots 3 for 2 in the future. I am about half way through my second tube of Hydraluron since October 2012, I only need to use a teensy amount (too much and it feels sticky). The Eyesilix gets super reviews and I will try it when I have used my stash of eye products:o

Yes, I do a separate SPF, as when I needed to switch from standard moisturisers to specific anti-ageing I found they did not contain SPF, as the anti-ageing properties are not supposed to work properly with SPF in the same formula, I found it a pain at first, but don't notice now. I use a BB cream with Factor 30 if I am just pottering around, and Clinique City Block 40 if I am dog walking, gardening, spectator sports etc. On good days I can get away with just concealer and eye make up, if trying a bit harder:rotfl:I use Smashbox mineral powder foundation. I am lazy about neck cream, but need to include this now, I will be 64 soon and have been lucky to get away with it for so long!

Still sputtering away on a few products, but so far no more use ups for the month!

I'm just wondering if anyone can help me out; I'm looking at gifts for my friends birthday in 2 weeks, and I was thinking about a vivabox, but I wanted to know what size the samples are - does anyone know?

I have a budget of about £25, but the box sounds so perfect for her, it's just that if the samples are only about 5ml, I wouldn't think it was such good value...

    More outs to declare:

4 toothbrushes - replaced from stash pile.

Boots baby wipes - WBA but have more in the stash - I love that these reseal rather than just the stick down plastic.

John Masters honey & Hibiscus shampoo & conditioner sachets - these were nice to use but hard to determine if it was great from a one use sachet.

Cutex nail polish remover - WBA and will need to soon as I have none left.

Sure for men spray deo - DH uses this so WBA but I usually restock when its on special offer.

Honey face mask (from a beauty box) - WNBA althoughmy skin feels nice this was very runny and smelly.

250ml J&J baby naturals intensive body cream - I bought quite a few of these in the Boots reduced section when my DD was very small - she is now 7 so they have lurked some time and are officially stash relics. Surprisingly the one I opened was OK but WNBA as I prefer scented cream - I have several more to plough through.
    No more buying toiletries
