Anyone been threatened by another bidder?

please excuse the mistakes first time writing on a forum and im new

had the same near enuff as TDIfurby happen to me sold a rare movie in mint condition and was told it was tat and wanted there money back including the postage and compensation to which i refused not only on the grounds that my TOS stated no refunds at the time but also that this buyer had been totally offensive from the moment he had brought the item meaNING demanding it arrive before the cheque was cashed and calling me all sorts of names on showing another ebay friend all the emails from this person he (FRIEND WHOS A POWER SELLER) had a few words in an email and offered to sort it on the phone man to man ebayer to ebayer if you like lol but thinking back at the time i was frightened as im a woman and this guy wanted to hurt me even burn down my home and wreak my auctions so i gave up the user i.d and got another ebay account lucky i have good friends and that stopped him i informed ebay at the time with no luck my only other hope was the police but my friend saved the day for me ive had a few things happen on ebay since then one was a shill seller (bidding on her own items) one of which i was bidding on and didnt know when the item didnt arrive she left me some nasty feedback and is still trading on ebay i again informed ebay and a woman who emailed me had to as she had the same experiance as me but ebay did nothing even with the negs she left i find ebay unhelpful money grabbers as a company but would be lost without some of the people i have meet online through ebay who imo could run the site alot better.

poppit - that sounds a LOT worse than mine!

It was all very amicably sorted out over emails, my little incident, and I put the value hand tool set on ebay not intending to pass them off as snap-on quality, which would have been very wrong and against my principles as an ebay seller (not against many people's principles though!)

Luckily - 239 100% +'ve feedback transactions speaks more about how nicely ebay has generally worked for me!

My only threat came from a seller. Living in Northern Ireland, you tend to send emails to sellers asking if the price they quote on the auction for 'delivery in the United Kingdom' includes Northern Ireland. Was told that it did, so bid on the item and won it. When it came to delivery, they contacted me to say that because my postcode starts with BT, there would be an extra £10 for delivery. After several emails reiterating what they told me and explaining that Northern Ireland is part of the UK, he started getting abusive and finally threatened having me banned. He even started being racist, and I got negative feedback. All this because someone doesn't know that NI is part of the UK. BTW The seller has a registered company, and uses eBay to attract custom, like so many others.

I reported them to eBay, but never heard anything since!
