Hey,
I have sky at home at the minute but feel like they are ripping me off, I pay £80 per month and could really do with cutting my costs down.
Virgin aren't in my area at the moment so that's not an option, any ideas of different alternatives and what's your thoughts on them? Who would you recommend?
Thanks in advance

Basic Sky subscription is around £21.50. What exactly have you got? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

As above-without knowing which subscription channels you really want, it's impossible to say.
That £80 presumably includes phone and broadband, so you need to split it up.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Freeview + Lovefilm for TV series and movies worked fine for me.0

I've just cancelled my Sky World with HD package. I've decided I've got better things to spend sixty odd pounds a month on, especially as I'm away caravanning for most of the summer.
As I've now got access to HD on four channels via Freeview, I think I'll be able to manage.
The reading of the news that Uncle Rupert's salary was going up to 30 million didn't encourage me to stay!"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
Do you have your phone and broadband with them too or is that all TV? What channels do you never watch or can you give up?
If you've had Sky over a year you could phone as if you want to leave and see what offers they will give you to stay.
Alternatives:
Virgin Media (you say you can't get it)
BT YouView
TalkTalk YouView
Freeview
FreeSat0 -
Or just buy a You View box, to use with your preferred ispThat gum you like is coming back in style.0
