There was also a case in Cambridge county court on 15th July (not mine) where Thomson lost the 2yr argument.

I thought I'd make this point on their FB page ... If only to see whether they'd engage.

And to give them their due, they have. If not entirely convincingly!

I've seen it Vauban. Obviously the FB team and the claims team are different but even so fair play to them for not hiding. They obviously can't say our bosses are asses but we have to toe the party line, can they :D

For the benefit of those not on facebook, what did they say?
  • Hi all,

Just before I send off my (form1B) to the small claims court,
Could someone tell me what exactly is involved in the reality of attending court?

i.e. - what documents am I required to have? (obviously proof of being on the flight / correspondence etc) But what futher legal yarn would stand me in good stead to have to hand?....

    - What is the process actually like?

The reason for asking is to guage whether I really need 'proper' legal representation..

    Settled with Thomson.

I sent the allocation questionnaire the other week, but have heard nothing back and don't have a date for the case yet.

But Thomson called, I agreed to settle with them, I dropped the interest but happy to get it settled without the hassle of making a court bundle and preparing a statement.

Take Note if you are unsure of proceeding. Persistence pays off.
At some point maybe some of the airlines with a bad delay record will realise the traveling public will not stand for bad service.
As a nation we are beginning to get better at complaining.

Well done to worried woman - I've quite lost count of the successes to failures. But we must be getting on for fifty by now - and I think I've seen five losses. So it's about 90% wins.

I have also been pm'd today a truly fantastic story from someone who has recently won their court case. It is HILARIOUS - but I will leave it to them to share it with you in due course.

Come on people - LET US GO FORWARD TOGETHER!

I too would love to hear the story! Please share.

I would love to share it - it really is very, very heartening - but the successful claimant wants to wait until the money is in their account before publishing the tale.

It will be worth the wait - I promise;)

I hope they are reading this request then? I wait with baited breath...
