Monday 29th April - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:
Morning DFW-ers!
I am up and at em this morning, not sure why but I decided I'd get up directly after the news on the radio and here I am :rotfl:have had my first cup of tea and am raring to go, who's with me today???
This is me:
- Checked bank and updated book
- Made lunch and packed work bag last night
- Purse is tucked away in dresser drawer, not needed today!
- Dried hair naturally over night, no hair dryer
- Take broken phone into work as new parts will arrive there
- E-mail ex to see if he has enough school clothes for DD, forgot to pack for Tuesday!
- Netball tonight, will carshare but my turn to drive
- Take own water bottle to netball
- Wear non-iron shirt today, trying to get away without doing any this week! :j
- Submit purge claim to manager and record
- Make every attempt to sell a purge/service plan
- Look online for curtains to fit me new living room window, it's massive!!
- Update new DFW diary, must keep on top of this now
- Definitely sparkle x

I am new to this so here goes:-
*Drying the washing on the line so I can now turn heating off for the summer.
*Making a roast chicken dinner, chicken was reduced to £2 from £5. When I bought the chicken I also got a whole leg of lamb for £5, 6 pork chops for £2 and a pork joint for £3 so that's our roast dinners taken care of for the next few weeks.
*Make my own cookies, family much prefer these to shop bought ones.
*Ring Virgin & cancel PC protection.
*Meal plan for May so I can buy/cook in bulk.
Am I on the right lines for this threas?***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 -

Hi everyone. Working nights at the minute, so not been home long. Put washing on when I got home, so I'm waiting up for it to finish so that I can get it out on the line, as it looks like its going to be a decent day.
Stupidly, I entered the London marathon ballot when it opened this morning. I cycled home from work as a first acknowledgement of needing to improve my fitness.
Other than that, its just all the usual stuff from me. Check banking, meals from stores, take sandwiches to work tonight etc.
Have a good day everyoneDebt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
Ooh get me, I've just washed and sorted my pegs, they get left out all year so I usually bin them and buy new, only had half a dozen broken ones so I've probably saved myself a couple of pounds !***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0

Morning everyone! Its been a while since I've posted anything or even checked the forum so I need to get back on it. I have thankfully not fallen off the wagon with paying my debts though although I could try harder! Well today is a day off for me as I worked all of last weekend. Its a NSD though as pay day isn't until tomorrow and I am pretty much pennyless!
so todays plan:
1) Go to post office and send my ebay items and send off for my new driving licence photocard whilst I'm there
2) Drop boyfriends dry cleaning off and he can pay when he collects (!)
3) Complete as many online surveys as I can manage. Definitely need to work on my swagbucks points as my hairdryer is on its last legs so need to get more Amazon vouchers
4) Meal plan for May as I'm going shopping tomorrow at Aldi. I also have a £5 off £40 voucher to use too.
5) Spring clean and declutter the house and see if I have anything else to sell on ebay or car boot.
6) Finish planting my vegetable plot so I will have yummy and free veg once it grows!
Have a good day everybody!0 -
