Airline changing ticket price

I recently booked a long haul flight with Qatar airways, and through using a search engine was able to find what I thought was a heavily discounted flight. I booked and paid for the flight through Paypal and received my confirmation email and E-ticket straight away.
On the E-ticket small print it states that once you receive your ticket the fare is guaranteed. On this reassurance I have booked my accommodation based on the price of my flight. Five days after I made the booking the airline contacted me telling me they made an error and that the new price is two and a half times what I paid originally.
I have spoken to somebody today and explained the situation and I am calling back tomorrow to speak to a customer services manager. Was just wondering if anybody could give me any idea if I am within my rights to ask them to honour the original price as I have received my ticket and was given no indication of any error at the time of booking. I have a feeling they are trying their luck with renegotiating a price and I am hoping they will honour the ticket. Any information regarding my rights and any relevant advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
