Qatar Airways-Breach of contract

On Sunday I booked a return flight from Heathrow to Trivandrum[India] at an excellent price. I received confirmation emails, etickets and was able to select my seats online.

Today I have an email saying that "due to a recent technical error in our system, we are unable to confirm your reservation" (i.e my ticket is cancelled) and if I email reply to them in 24 hours they may offer me "50% discount on any base fare on your intended journey."

Please advise as to what i can do,as i paid the money in full. They have admitted to an error on their part so why should i be penalised??

Please help:mad:

This question has been addressed on the other thread you have posted on. The "excellent price" appears to have been an obvious mistake.

If the booking was not confirmed you prob have not been charged for the booking.

First off I would check ur bank statement to see if the transaction has come out your bank. If so telephone them up and tell them it has been charged to your card and u could provide evidence if required.

If the money has not been taken from your account, I would call them up regarding the 50% offer

    Let's turn that around...

They have made a mistake, why should you be able to take advantage of their error?

Anyway, there are lots of ideas on what to do next on this thread.

So sorry I've read this thread wrong. I though op was having trouble with payment to them that was not confirmed on Qatars system not due to a pricing error. Totally skipped the last thread but seems to be more helpful advice on there
