At first I thought 'err, no, yo need a toilet', but actually, if it is a 'shower room' then I am not sure it is necessary to have a loo. Like lots of other people, if I had an en-suite then I would still use the main loo mostly and expect my husband to do so too - I can't stand someone being able to hear me, let alone smell me!

I'm happy to use our en suite loo, my poo doesn't smell. :p

For all those worried about smells from an en-suite, there's a great new invention..... the extractor fan, it keeps the smells and steam in the en-suite and out of the bedroom, it even helps mask the noise!

Simple solution to this is stop calling it an en suite. Then its just a shower in the bedroom and nobody expects a loo. Simples.

    Cheers

PS You did well in the lead post calling it a basin OP. Trouble is you then got seduced by posters that followed you into calling it a sink. Sinks go in kitchens or utilities. Basins go in bathrooms, ensuites and bedrooms. :D
