First time poster in this section? I wonder if any of you could help?
My wife has used Yahoo mail for years, but she received a message from Yahoo saying that someone from Poland had accesed the account and for her to change her password, which she did, but a few days later she could not log in with either password?
We both use it for getting quotes as we are building our house, ans it has quite a lot of important information archived in previous e-mails etc?

Did she use the link in the e-mail to change the password.
Hopefully not...don't ever do that even if it looks like the e-mail came from Yahoo it can easily be changed to look like it had.
Contact Yahoo and change the password back. You can also go through the forgotten password link and change it too....as long as you can remember the answers to your security questions.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

We've tried but the securiy questions have been changed, I'll ask her if she clicked on the link in the e-mail? :mad:0 -
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

There's a lot of hacking into Yahoo mails going on. I just had it today. I managed to reset the password via another email address. But some of the processes to change it don't work, like using my mobile to send a code didn't.
How do they find out the password in order to hack?0 -
We had this problem aswell and either couldn't remember the security questions or they had been changed, the only way we could get into our accounts was by yahoo live chat and they added another email account (outside yahoo) that we have access to and you follow the links to reset the password, once we were in, we changed the passwords again and changed the security questions.
Good luck, it took us days of going round in circles and getting locked out for 12 hours at a time for trying different answers to our security questions.
When we eventually got into our accounts we saw lots of delivery failure messages so we had obviously been hacked.0 -
The exactly same thing happened to me,haven't been able to log into my email since Thursday,my security question must have been changed and I'm being locked out all the time for putting the wrong answer. It is my main email address which I use mainly for comping but also friends and ebay and I don't really know what to do. How do I get to speak to someone from yahoo? All I can get is just choice of FAQ which aren't very helpful. Is there still any hope to get to my emails?0

My wife finally answered the security questions correctly and has now got access back luckily.
2720 - I tried looking for a way to contact Yahoo support but only found information that was 4/5 years old!
We are going to set up a new e-mail on outlook regarding everything important from now on.0 -
I can't see anywhere in my account how to change the security questions as mine have changed too.0

A few weeks' ago it was yahoo.co.uk email accounts which had been hacked; at the end of last week it seems to have been btinternet.com addresses.
Painful as it might be, it seems a good move to transfer to a different email provider...0
